Iroya Gallery is a small gallery devoted to colour, standing at the foot of Kintaikyo Bridge in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi.
Something that quietly settles the heart. Something you want to show a friend. Something you will keep for years.
We introduce works that add colour to everyday life, both here in the gallery and online.
Our work is to stand between the visitor and the work of art. Through solo shows, curated exhibitions and our own original pieces, we hope to bring a little colour into your daily life.
We hold exhibitions throughout the year, centred on curated shows by artists from across Japan. Works are introduced and sold in the gallery, in our online gallery, and through live broadcasts.
We organise open-call exhibitions that support artists nationwide, including the Zero-Go Ten, an exhibition of works painted on size-0 canvases.
We design and sell our own items rooted in Iwakuni, such as Kintaikyo Bridge postcards and tenugui hand towels printed with the local lotus root.

Iroya Gallery is a small gallery in Yokoyama, Iwakuni, at the foot of the historic Kintaikyo Bridge. Through exhibitions by artists from across Japan, open-call exhibitions, and original goods that express the character of Iwakuni, we bring a little colour to daily life.
An encounter with a work of art can make life a little richer. That is the kind of place we hope to be.
I have spent more than twenty years working with colour. Colour has the power to move people and to enrich daily life. Drawing on that knowledge and experience, I feel fortunate to stand between our visitors and the works we show.
